carl's i know them pretty well #1 mr.carl is a nasty person he thinks that he can treat everybody like garbage #2 that restaurant in chambers is FULL of roaches #3 when they work in the yankee stadium seasonal they treat the meat in a nasty way no one get sick yet just by luck #4 75%of he's employees are illegal and they dont care about anything #5 and most important they are not clean ….. mr.carl this message is from william franco remember me ???? you know i know you really good!!!!

You cant take comments that are posted by people who wish to remain anonymous seriously. I am Srilankan and have been to Sigiri many times and find the food and service to be good. Of course you are never going to find Sri Lankan food in NY to be just as good as it is back home, but the “anonymous” person bashing the restaurant was was just a mean jealous saboteur. Visit Sigiri and see for yourself.

hey mike,
why not take a trip to Sri Lanka and get a taste of real hoppers? It's outrageous what they serve. Sigiri hoppers are a rip off. less coconut milk is used. there's no middle or the middle is empty so there's nothing much to eat. if chef pubilis visits sigiri, it will get F grade. the fish is awful. you can separate the fish from the curry. it's not fresh either. it should not be. that's not how it's meant to be, as sigiri would say. same story with strings. not worth the money you pay. coconut chutney is so tasteless. i think it's used coconut. downgraded food. the woman is impolite, impatient and rude.

i.b. curious about the pizza joints that say they're healthy and tasty. (STPF seems cool) Not many for sure. We're rolling out a more accessible pizza that's physiologically correct because of a 12 grain/seeds crust with prebiotics and probiotics, but without the cost barrier of organic ingredients. Naked Pizza. We like organics, but the real health benefits come from a diversity of real food.

I must say that himalayan yak has the best nepali/tibetan food in nyc…i have been to other nepali restaurants in ny but nothing is comparable to YAK. The food is excellent..i tried the chicken momo, nepali daal bhat with curry(my mouth is watering), and chicken sekuwa(appetizer), and not to forget ALOO DUM (nepali potato dish). The food ranges from mild to spicy. I prefer spicy but you can always request mild or medium(make sure to do so). The staff were very friendly and hospitable. I loved the interior design…it was reminescent of old nepal!! They also have live music nepali/hindi/tibetan and a bar..so its fun even on a weekend nite!!! i will def go back again and again.
